BRIGID MAE POWER DREAM FROM THE DEEP WELL

Brigid Mae Power is an artist whose music is rooted in folk. She was born in London to Irish parents and her family relocated to Ireland when she was twelve years old, where she learnt to play the button accordion before starting to sing and play piano as a teen. Following on from her magnificent 2021 single 'Mother in the Sky', Brigid releases 'Dream From The Deep Well'. The song is composed of acoustic guitar and vocals, embellished with wistful harmonica. She ponders, 'You say you're all peace and love'...'at least I didn't think that peace looked like that'. The chorus is expansive as Brigid stretches her voice and fills in the spaces with delicate melodies. There's even a sentiment of forgiveness from the line 'Dream from the deep well, take a cup and drink my friend'. Brigid Mae Power will tour across the UK in March, her final show at The Servant Jazz Quarter on 28th March. Listen to 'Dream From The Deep Well' here. -Ellie Rose-Davies
